REQUESTING THAT THE INTERIM SENATE COMMITTEE ON EDUCATION STUDY HOW STUDENT PLACEMENT IN NONRESIDENTIAL MENTAL HEALTH TREATMENT PROGRAMS IMPACT A STUDENT'S ABILITY TO REMAIN ENROLLED AT HIS OR HER LOCAL SCHOOL AND RECEIVE CLASS CREDIT.
REQUESTING THAT THE ARKANSAS LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL ASSIGN TO THE INTERIM SENATE COMMITTEE ON EDUCATION A STUDY OF THE INTERSTATE COMPACT ON EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITY FOR MILITARY CHILDREN.
REQUESTING THAT THE INTERIM SENATE COMMITTEE ON EDUCATION CONDUCT A STUDY OF THE EFFICACY OF USING TIERED SCHOLARSHIP AWARD AMOUNTS AND DIFFERENTIATED ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ARKANSAS ACADEMIC CHALLENGE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM AND OF OTHER PROPOSALS
REQUESTING THAT THE INTERIM SENATE COMMITTEE ON EDUCATION AND THE INTERIM HOUSE COMMITTEE ON EDUCATION STUDY THE CURRENT STATUS OF MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES PROVIDED IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS AND THE NEED FOR ADDITIONAL PREVENTION AND INTERVENTION SERVICES.
TO AMEND § 6-17-2403; TO INCREASE THE MINIMUM TEACHER SALARY SCHEDULE; TO DECLARE AND EMERGENCY.
TO ENSURE THAT CHILDREN WITH DYSLEXIA HAVE THEIR NEEDS MET BY THE PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM.
TO PROVIDE SCHOOL DISTRICTS THE CHOICE OF HOLDING SCHOOL ELECTIONS ON THE SAME DATE AS GENERAL ELECTIONS OR IN SEPTEMBER; TO AMEND RELATED PROVISIONS OF LAW CONCERNING THE TERM OF SERVICE FOR SCHOOL BOARD MEMBERS.
TO ENSURE THAT STUDENTS MAKE SATISFACTORY ACADEMIC PROGRESS IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS.
TO EXPAND LEARNING TIME FOR ARKANSAS PUBLIC SCHOOL STUDENTS BY ALLOWING SCHOOL DISTRICTS TO OPERATE A TWO-HUNDRED-DAY SCHOOL YEAR.
