Nurse managed health clinics
The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act provides grant opportunities for nurse-managed health clinics. Nurse-managed health clinics provide a range of health services, including primary care, health promotion and disease prevention to low-income, underinsured, and uninsured clients, according to HRSA. There are about 250 nurse-managed health clinics across the country, 21 of which currently receive federal funding.

This grant offers federal funding to support nurse-managed health clinics. Approximately $15 million is expected to be available 2010 through 2012 to fund 10 nurse-practice clinics. Awards will be capped at $1.5 million per applicant.
